I'm currently grooving to Schoenberg's "Serenade", a cool piece of music scored for eight players that include a bass, guitar and mandolin. It's almost rock n roll. Well, it DOES rock in an offbeat way a little bit like Captain Beefheart's "Trout Mask Replica", anyway.
