The classic erotic comic book series "Omaha The Cat Dancer" is being reprinted at the moment. It will be published in 8 volumes, and volume 7 is out now. The last volume will be a new conclusion to the series that was plotted by writer Kate Worley before she sadly died of cancer a few years ago. The work was finished by series illustrator Reed Waller, and Kate's husband James M. Vance, who is also a comic book writer.
This series is very cute, romantic and sexy. A few years ago when the books were seized by the Indecent Publications Tribunal in New Zealand, the tribunal ended up concluding:
“Given…the dominant effect of these books as intelligent, reasoned social commentary, their social and artistic merit, their educative rather than corrupting influence, and their honest portrayals of human relationships, particularly those involving disabled people and gays, it cannot be said that anything in these books would be injurious to the public good.”
I started this as a blog about the 1930s, but it was too restricting , and I'm too easily distracted, so now I'm blogging about everything that strikes my fancy. I'm from Denmark, so there will be occasional lapses in English grammar.
