"What Keeps mankind Alive"/"Wovon lebt der mensch" Performed by William Burroughs:
I also like the Pet Shop Boys version and the Tom Waits version of this song... well, actually they are both better than the burroughs version, possibly due to PSB and Waits being real musicians - the song has a nice tune, but Burroughs obviously recites rather than sings, which isn't quite ideal for this song. But still. this version is interesting enough in its own way.
